About the role

Coastal Seed Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Gardener to join our team. This full-time position is based in Casuarina/Kingscliff NSW 2487 and will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and development of our extensive gardens and landscaping, across several properties.

What you'll be doing

Coordinating the day-to-day gardening and landscaping tasks, including weeding, pruning, and planting

Developing and implementing plans for garden improvements, such as new plantings and design changes

Managing a team of labourers and ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard

Monitoring the health and condition of plants and trees, and taking appropriate action to address any issues

Ordering and maintaining gardening equipment and supplies

Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

Substantial experience as a Head Gardener or in a similar horticultural management role

Strong knowledge of plants and gardening techniques, with the ability to identify and address a wide range of plant-related issues

Proven experience in managing a team of gardeners and coordinating their workload

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards (work in a previous Botanical Gardens ideal)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Relevant qualifications in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field would be highly regarded
