Your Role

As a Sterilising Technician you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our patients. You will play a critical role in our operating theatres, responsible for the care, handling and reprocessing of reusable medical instruments in accordance with the national standards.

Your tasks will include:

Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging, and sterilisation of all instruments

Cleaning, decontamination, sorting and assembling surgical instrument trays

Provision of excellent care and service to clients in line with their personalised care plans

Using a holistic approach, working within a multidisciplinary team, achieving the optimum care for clients

Liaison with and referral to other organisations as required provide for the client's needs

Role Requirements

Certificate III in Sterilisation and current knowledge of the national standards

Minimum 2 years previous experience within similar role

Good computer & mobile device skills

First Aid & CPR certificates, required within one month of commencement

Be vaccinated (and maintain up-to-date vaccinations) against Influenza and Covid-19

Current National Police Check

Where applicable, Disability Services Queensland screening and Working with Children Check will also be required
