Qualifications & experience

• ­ Proficient in driving a 4WD vehicle, towing a trailer & operating an all-terrain vehicle
• ­ Current Driver’s License
• ­ Being willing to work and travel away from home
• ­ Demonstrated experience and skills in the safe operation of equipment & vehicles (including ATVs)
• ­ Ability to perform mechanical maintenance on vehicles, ATV’s and trailers
• ­ Ability to conduct minor electrical repairs

Tasks & responsibilities

• The Geophysical Field Technician is essentially responsible for the day to day execution of geophysical surveys: digging of electrode pits; the lay out / wind up of wire; and walking and working in challenging terrains in demanding climates, often remotely.
