Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys solving problems and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? We’re looking for a Technician & Service Coordinator to join our growing team at Aero Ranger, where you’ll play a key role in supporting our customers (both over the phone and in person), assembling and maintaining our technical equipment, and helping to manage our day-to-day workshop operations.

Ideally suited for someone with previous experience in field service, electronics assembly, IT hardware support, or ELV/data cabling, security system installation or similar. A strong fit for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, technical problem-solving (customer facing), and managing day-to-day workshop operations.

This role may require occasional travel for customer site visits, training sessions, equipment deployments, or service-related support. Travel may include local state, interstate and overseas destinations.

We start early and end early (7:00am–3:00pm) with free street parking nearby!

About the Role

This is a role that combines:

Hands-on technical work (assembling and commissioning industrial computing devices)

Workshop and inventory coordination

Shipping and logistics support

Frontline service, training, and troubleshooting for our field-deployed systems and customers

You’ll be involved in the end-to-end lifecycle of our products, from logistics and hardware preparation to customer support and training.

Responsibilities

Build, test, and maintain high-tech systems, including edge computing devices, vehicle-mounted equipment, sensors, and smart cameras

Conduct diagnostics and repairs on industrial hardware, cameras, and sensors

Provide both remote and onsite technical support to customers and service teams

Manage workshop stock levels and consumables, including ordering, forecasting, and performing stocktakes

Coordinate shipping, receiving, and logistics for field deployments and hardware servicing

Maintain repair logs, workshop documentation, and inventory records

Liaise with couriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth workshop operations

What We’re Looking For

Practical, hands-on experience in electronics, IT hardware, or technical support (can you use a soldering iron?)

Comfortable using Linux and command line interfaces (or willing to learn)

Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time independently

Experience in logistics, stock control, or warehouse/workshop management is an advantage

Previous field technical work (such as data cabling or ELV installations) highly regarded

A proactive, problem-solving attitude and strong attention to detail
