The Senior Investigations Officer works within the Risk, Assurance and Standards (RAS) division with a focus on building internal capability on strategic investigations, contributing to improved safety outcomes within the industry and ensuring that high standards are maintained by retailers and installers who participate in our programs.
The position oversees the conduct of strategic investigations into retailers and installers to determine if they have breached Solar Victoria's terms and conditions. They develop effective and efficient systems of work and provide advice and subject matter expertise to the RAS leadership team as well as make recommendations for outcomes at the conclusion of investigations.
The position also provides training, guidance and mentoring to other staff to facilitate effective and efficient compliance investigations and the utilisation of the full suite of available regulatory tools. The Senior Investigations Officer will also maintain effective stakeholder relationships with our regulatory partners.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Demonstrated operational experience leading and conducting investigations in a regulatory or enforcement environment.
- High level experience working with or in regulated industries such as construction and/or electrical.
- A high level of understanding of regulation and regulatory risk.
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or equivalent would be treated favourably
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2 years. The successful candidate can select a base of either our Melbourne or Morwell office, hybrid work arrangements are also available.
