The Role
Land Systems Division within the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group is seeking experienced and passionate Project Managers who are looking for a challenging role in a dynamic working environment. As an APS6 Project Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering Australian Defence Force systems that are at the leading edge of Defence capability.
You will work under broad direction to deliver complex, large-scale projects, applying your project management skills and experience across the project lifecycle, from conception through to introduction into service.
Your work will be fundamental to the delivery of Defence projects, including progress reporting, financial management, preparing briefing materials, and submissions to Government. You will be required to build effective and collaborative stakeholder relationships, as you will engage regularly with internal, stakeholders and suppliers to support project delivery. About our Team
Land Systems Division’s (LSD) mission is to acquire and support capability that enables the ADF to generate and sustain deployable Land power for an integrated force, in peace and war. We aim to be agile, innovative and outcomes-focussed as we collaborate closely with the Services and industry to deliver the latest equipment to maximise ADF performance.
LSD project teams collaboratively on the acquisition and introduction of capability such as vehicles, air-defence systems, armaments, combat field equipment, surveillance equipment and health systems.

Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal person for this role will be an experienced and committed Project Management professional who is able to undertake complex, project management work with relative autonomy, and manage and develop your team to achieve results.
You will be responsible for the management a range of project activities and coordinate project inputs in accordance with practices and standards appropriate to the complexity of the project. You will have the ability to shift priorities as the demand arises, and be able to make sound decisions and proactively resolve problems.
As a dynamic team member, you will use your strong interpersonal and communications skills to build collaborative stakeholder relationships, influence change and drive continuous improvement. You will support and motivate your team to collaborate and excel to meet organisational objectives. You will be committed to continuing your own self-development, and pursuing ongoing professional development for yourself and your team.
