Our client is a reputable manufacturing business based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, who are looking for immediate support within their accounts team.

About the role

This position is a full-time 6-month fixed term contract based 5 days a week out of their offices in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Key responsibilities:

• Full-function Accounts Payable including invoice processing, coding, and preparing supplier payments within payment terms.
• Handle daily AP tasks such as reconciliations, statement matching, and managing supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams across Operations, Procurement, and Finance to ensure accurate approvals and seamless purchase-to-pay processes.
• Support month-end close by assisting with reconciliations, accruals, and providing reporting support to the finance team.
• Assist with maintaining audit-ready records and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives within the AP function.
• Use MYOB for daily processing and reporting tasks, with training available if needed.

About you

• At least 2 years’ experience within the accounting sector.
• Exposure to the manufacturing industry preferred but not essential.
• Experience with MYOB software.
• High level of attention to detail with proven level of quality and accuracy of work.
• Proactive research, analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in a high volume, fast paced environment.
• True team player.
• Intermediate level of Word and Excel.
