Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) are eager to recruit an Advanced Clinical Lead Psychologist to join our dedicated team at our brand new Modbury Mental Health Rehab Unit, to help us deliver Psychological care to our community.
About the Role:
The Modbury Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (MMHRU) offers contemporary, evidence-based, and high-quality rehabilitation services. The multidisciplinary team play a key role in delivering person-centred and trauma-informed care within a collaborative environment. The MMHRU delivers rehabilitation services that are compassionate and solution focused with the aim of promoting skill development, social inclusion, and supporting consumers to achieve their recovery goals. Staff work in close connection with both Wondakka (Community Rehabilitation Centre) and The Gully services, supporting mental health rehabilitation service innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and co-design.
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Lead Psychologist to join our Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit at Modbury Adult Service. In this full-time, ongoing position, you will provide clinical leadership whilst delivering evidence-based psychological services to adults experiencing complex mental health challenges. The Advanced Clinical Lead Psychologist will provide comprehensive assessment services including cognitive assessment, diagnostic clarification and therapy suitability assessment. The Advanced Clinical Lead Psychologist will provide short to longer term therapy. Treatment can be offered as an individual or group therapy.
The Advanced Clinical Lead Psychologist will also support and provide consultation and education to a multidisciplinary team, develop treatment programs, and mentor emerging professionals in a supportive, collaborative environment. You will have access to ongoing professional development, supervision and to a network of psychologists working in niche areas such as neuropsychology, perinatal mental health and older persons mental health.

To be eligible for this position, you
- Must hold an appropriate Degree (Master’s Degree in Psychology) or equivalent qualification recognised by the PsyBA.
- Must hold general registration with PsyBA and be endorsed in an Area of Practice Endorsement consistent with the requirements of the role.
- Must hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision (primary and secondary).

Are you keen to advance the clinical practice of Psychology and make a significant contribution towards the development and achievement of the strategic directions of the agency and the region and/or SA Health Local Health Network, SA Health Statewide Service and which may extend to the State or the Nation? Are you ready to work in conjunction with other health professionals to optimise patient functional and health outcomes in this specialty area, and improve mental health outcomes for people presenting with severe and complex mental health presentations?
