Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Driver to join our team specializing in concrete structures. The Crane Driver will operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials, machinery, and other heavy loads at construction sites. This role requires precision, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with site teams to ensure efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Crane Operations:

Operate cranes ( heavy mounted crane) to lift and transport heavy loads, including concrete panels, beams, and formwork.

Position loads accurately and safely as per site requirements and supervisor instructions.

Perform pre-lift and post-lift inspections to ensure the stability and safety of equipment.

Safety and Compliance:

Conduct daily inspections of cranes and associated lifting equipment to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.

Adhere to all site-specific and national safety regulations, including proper load handling and crane setup.

Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or hazards immediately.

Collaboration:

Work closely with riggers, signalers, and site teams to execute lifts efficiently and safely.

Communicate clearly with ground personnel using standard hand signals, radios, or other means.

Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on crane equipment.

Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, maintenance activities, and safety checks.

Planning and Adaptation:

Assist in planning lifting operations, considering load weight, environmental conditions, and site constraints.

Adapt to changing site conditions, including weather, terrain, and unexpected challenges.

Must have:

Be an Australian Citizen

Have excellent presentation and communication

Great knowledge of Melbourne

Been driving a Crane for at least two years

Live in or around Melborne

HR & CV Crane license (minimum C6)

Dogman and Rigging ticket (preferred)

Strong focus on safety and teamwork

Reliable, punctual, and driven to deliver top results
