About the Role:
We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Technician to join our clients growing Technical Team, a leading womenswear retailer known for trend-driven, high-quality fashion. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the exceptional quality standards that their customers expect and love.
As a QA Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring all garments meet their specifications from development to production, working closely with Design, Buying, Merchandising, and Suppliers to deliver quality fashion at pace.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and assess pre-production and production samples for fit, construction, and quality against company standards.
* Conduct QC inspections and create accurate reports with clear feedback and required actions.
* Collaborate with Designers, Garment Technologists, and Suppliers to resolve quality issues.
* Monitor bulk production to ensure compliance with size specs, tolerances, and critical measurements.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date QA documentation and test reports.
* Support continuous improvement of QA processes and participate in technical development meetings.
* Carry out in-house testing (e.g., seam strength, colour fastness) where applicable.
* Ensure AQL and ethical compliance across the supply base when needed.
* Assist with returns and customer complaint analysis to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar QA or Garment Tech role within womenswear (retail or supplier side).
* Sound understanding of garment construction, fabric performance, and finishing techniques.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read and interpret tech packs, measurement specs, and grading.
* Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced fashion environment with tight deadlines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; knowledge of PLM systems is a plus.
* A relevant degree or qualification in Fashion Technology, Textiles, or a related field is advantageous.
