Textile Products Manufacturing (Casual)

Covertex Pty Ltd – Chelsea Heights, Melbourne VIC

Casual | Estimated 12–18 hrs per week | Weekdays | $40/hr + Super | Flexible Hours

Key responsibilities include:

Operating high frequency and hot air welding machines

Measuring, cutting, and preparing industrial fabrics

Assisting with floor-based layout and assembly work

Occasional use of industrial sewing machines

Using hand tools to complete product assembly

Packaging and labelling finished products

Performing general storeperson duties, including loading and unloading of finished goods and incoming supplies

Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised workspace

Supporting the team to meet production targets and quality standards

To be considered for the role, you should have:

Availability to work casual shifts of 6 hours per day, across 2 to 3 weekdays per week (minimum 12 hours, maximum 18 hours)

Prior experience in manufacturing or a related production environment preferred

Confidence using hand-held power tools

Good measuring and cutting skills

Physical fitness and agility — the role involves lifting, carrying, and floor-based assembly work

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision

A current Australian driver's licence
