A Legacy-Making Opportunity
With a $105 million redevelopment of Moree District Hospital now underway, this role is about more than operations, it’s about leaving your mark on the future of rural healthcare. Imagine mentoring your team, implementing new models of care, and working in partnership with district leadership and Health Infrastructure to guide a hospital through generational change. A key part of this role is your involvement in decision-making through various strategic committees, giving you a direct impact on the hospital’s redevelopment. Supported by a dedicated project officer, you’ll have the resources to shape the future of healthcare in the region.
You’ll also be stepping into an exciting new management structure, one that includes a new General Manager and Rural Manager who bring fresh energy, direction, and strategic alignment. Together, you’ll have the opportunity to re-shape the Moree team, reimagine local service delivery, and create a cohesive culture focused on excellence, innovation, and person-centred care.
Years from now, you'll be able to share your story, with colleagues, family, or your grandkids, and say you were part of something transformative. That you led through change. That your leadership made a difference.

Fitness Passport – discounted gym memberships for you and your family.
Four weeks of annual leave for full-time nurses (pro-rata for part-time).
Allocated Days Off to support a balanced lifestyle.
Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave.
Career development and leadership support, with strong peer connections across the district.

As the on-site Health Service Manager, you’ll be the executive leader for Moree District Hospital, responsible for both clinical services and overall site operations. Your role will include:
• Overseeing clinical operations and service delivery.
• Leading and mentoring a dedicated local team through change and growth.
• Embedding new systems and strategies, including the Single Digital Patient Record in 2026.
• Partnering with the district to align with broader organisational goals.
• Driving quality care models tailored to a rural setting.
• Collaborating closely with the newly appointed General Manager and Rural Manager to build a unified, future-focused leadership team.

• Operationally experienced and understands hospital systems at a high level.
• Well-versed in awards, conditions, and best practices.
• Skilled at using professional networks and working collaboratively across services.
• Passionate about shaping rural healthcare and ready to grow a service from the inside out.
• Familiar with the unique needs and strengths of rural communities.
