About the role

We seek a determined and competent Debt Collector to join our growing team at Standard8 Advisory Pty Ltd in our Toowong, QLD office. This full-time role is responsible for recovering outstanding debts owed to our clients through professional and ethical collection practices. You will play a vital part in supporting the financial health of our customers.

What you'll be doing

Contacting customers by phone, email, and digital messaging to discuss outstanding payments and negotiate repayment plans

Maintaining accurate records of all customer interactions and payment arrangements

Identifying customers' financial difficulties and providing appropriate support and solutions

Escalating cases to management where necessary, recommending legal proceedings

Adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies governing debt collection practices

Contributing to the continuous improvement of collection processes and procedures

1-2 years of experience in a debt collection or customer service role

Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with customers

Excellent time management and organisational skills to handle a large volume of cases

Empathy and problem-solving skills to identify suitable solutions for customers

Understanding of relevant debt collection legislation and regulations

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
