Salary/Level: Grade 1 or 2, $61,889 - $67,435 or $69,333 - $75,624 p.a. plus 25% No Fixed Hours Loading plus 12% Superannuation

Location: William Bay, Western Australia
The Warren Region is home to the well-known D’Entrecasteaux and Walpole Nornalup national parks as well as the recently created Walpole Wilderness area and Walpole Nornalup Inlets Marine Park. Many other parks and reserves as well as significant areas of State forest make up the majority of the land that we manage. The landscape of the region include a diversity of coastal heath, tall karri forests to open jarrah and wandoo woodlands to the remnant Tingle forest. The region has wetlands of international and national significance, pristine estuaries and wild rivers.
Our key service deliverables are nature conservation, parks and visitor services, sustainable forest management, and fire management.
We currently have an opportunity for a Ranger to join our team.
Under the immediate direction of the Senior Ranger, this position:
- Carries out programmed operational activities and field logistical support in the parks and reserves of Frankland district, including maintenance and servicing of facilities, visitor control, and the delivery of conservation programs and parks and visitor services projects as directed.
- Assists with fire, feral animal, weed and interpretative programs.
- Implements works programs consistent with departmental guidelines, policies and management plans.

Selection Criteria
- Good interpersonal skills with an ability for (Grade 1) or experience in (Grade 2) liaison with the public, commercial tourism operators, community groups, Indigenous groups and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team, show initiative and to work unsupervised.
- Ability to (Grade 1) or demonstrated experience in (Grade 2) construction and maintenance, carrying out routine maintenance duties, including the use of hand tools, power tools, chainsaws and small engines.
