Tonsley Technical College is run in conjunction with Australian Science & Mathematics School and offers three industry training programs including Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering, Automotive & Energy and Building & Construction, which will support students in years 10 to 12 to complete their SACE while undertaking vocational education and training (VET) in state-of-the-art specialist facilities.
About the Role
We're looking for teachers who:
Design and deliver curriculum aligned with the Australian Curriculum and SACE, within specialised industry training programs utilising the technical college industry-based learning approach
Collaborate with trainers, employers and industry leads to integrate technical, hands-on skills with classroom and onsite workplace learning.
Support all students to develop and enact their own learning plan, supporting them to build their agency to own and activate their career choices, through coaching and mentoring, career education and student wellbeing initiatives
Collaborate with trainers to plan and implement well-structured learning sequences that engage students and promote deep learning. Structure learning using research and collegial advice about how students learn.
Select and use relevant teaching strategies to develop knowledge, skills, problem solving, critical and creative thinking and other key employability skills.
Understand and have the ability to implement the flexibilities available through Australian Curriculum and SACE and how these support students to achieve success, including pathways to work, traineeships, apprenticeships, or higher education.

What you'll need
Relevant teaching qualification and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia
Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, families and colleagues and other stakeholders
Relevant experience in any of the following industries is desirable: Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering, Automotive & Energy or Building & Construction
