Salary - VPS 5.2: $124,888 to $136,747 + 12% superannuation

About the role:
Ready to lead strategic planning and resilience at EPA? We are looking for a Senior Advisor to help shape how we plan, adapt, and deliver impact across the organisation. Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Program Performance, the Senior Planning & Resilience Advisor is a senior member of a team responsible for enterprise strategy and planning, business continuity, performance monitoring and reporting.
We are seeking a candidate who brings drive, motivation, and strategic thinking to help shape EPA's planning and resilience efforts.
In this role you will:
- Lead the development and implementation of EPA's enterprise strategy and planning framework; coordinate annual business planning and review processes and the production of the annual business plan that identifies the priority deliverables for the organisation, aligned to strategic and regulatory priorities, and within the available resource base.
- Maintain EPA's organisational resilience policy, guidance, and coordinate its incident recovery and crisis management planning activities in line with applicable standards.
- Lead the uplift in business planning and organisational resilience capability across the EPA including by providing expert advice and training and produce resources to support a consistent approach to planning across all divisions.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across EPA to ensure a coherent, end to end approach to planning and performance monitoring, including aligning regulatory priorities, risk management and resource management.
Skills and experience:
- A relevant tertiary degree and/or post graduate qualifications.
- Senior level experience in enterprise strategy and planning, preferably within Government.
- Experience in organisational resilience or business continuity planning is desirable.
- Proficiency in excel-based tools, conversant with Power BI dashboards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead staff, including building capabilities in others through coaching and mentoring.
- Ability to communicate with impact, including tailoring messages to different audiences and facilitating shared understanding and agreement.
