Donor Care / Support Officer
Location: East Melbourne, onsite
Type: Temporary 4-8 weeks, Part Time, 3 days (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays)
Pay: $34.59 per hour + super
An established and purpose-driven not-for-profit is seeking a dedicated Donor Care / Support Officer to join their passionate Supporter Care team on a part-time, temporary basis. About the Role Reporting to the Supporter Care Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for valued supporters, providing high-quality care and ensuring donations and queries are processed with accuracy and warmth. You’ll play a key role in donor retention and engagement, helping to build lasting relationships that support the organisation’s life-changing work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding supporter care via phone, email and mail
- Accurately process donations and update supporter records
- Assist with general administration tasks and ad hoc reporting
- Respond to and resolve supporter queries and minor complaints
- Support donor reactivation and engagement campaigns
- Contribute to team improvement initiatives
About You:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in supporter care, customer service or administration
- Strong communication and listening skills with a friendly phone manner
- Detail-oriented with accurate data entry and organisational skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work collaboratively and empathetically
- Comfortable working within a values-led, purpose-driven environment
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a not-for-profit or fundraising setting
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., ThankQ or Dynamics), and payment gateways (e.g., eWay, SecurePay)
