- For 1 year will get you an isolation bonus of AUD$3,500. If you stay for 2 years you will get AUD$10,500… and for your 3rd year (and every year after that) you will get AUD$7,000.
- base salary ranges between $82,753 and $106,144 p.a. (Nurse Grade 5).

In your downtime, we will provide 2 return airfares p.a. (inc. spouse/dependents) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with your recreation leave; of which we offer 5 weeks p.a. with a 17.5% loading/bonus.

Mornington Island is the largest of the North Wellesley Islands located in the north of Mt Isa in the Gulf of Carpentaria, 28km from the mainland. It achieved self-governance in 1978.
Mornington Island Hospital is a remote Level 2 hospital under the Rural and Remote Clinical Services Capability Framework. The facility provides 24-hour acute inpatient and accident and emergency care. Staffing consists of a medical officer and registered nurses on each shift 24 hours a day, with administration support, cleaners and maintenance workers. Mornington Island Hospital consists of 8 general medical beds and 4 Emergency department beds.
About the role
Permanent full time, 76 hours per fortnight.
This role will deliver a safe compassionate clinical care; working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve best practice patient outcomes.
The RN engages in reflective, analytical practice through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of direct person-centred care.
Requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
- Involves travel to various facilities or units within the North West HHS.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A 6-month period of probation may apply.
