We’re on the lookout for a confident, reliable, and positive surf coach to join our team. If you know how to read the ocean, connect with people, and teach surfing in a safe, supportive, and fun way — this could be your opportunity to escape the 9 to 5 and start loving your job.

About the Role:
As a Surf Coach, you'll be responsible for guiding students of all ages and skill levels through structured, engaging lessons. You'll provide clear instruction, ensure ocean safety, and foster a positive learning environment. From beginner pop-ups to intermediate turns, your job is to build confidence in the water and help students develop a love for surfing.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach surf lessons in line with the school’s methodology and safety protocols

Assess ocean conditions and make safe, informed decisions

Demonstrate techniques both on land and in the water

Support students with feedback, encouragement, and clear communication

Maintain a fun, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere

Look after surf equipment and help with setup/pack down as needed

What We’re Looking For:

Strong surfing ability and ocean awareness

Prior experience teaching or coaching (surf coaching preferred but not required)

Level 1 Surf Coach Award, Surf Rescue Certificate + Current First Aid & CPR
(or willingness to obtain)

Excellent communication and people skills

Calm, adaptable, and able to handle a dynamic beach environment

Comfortable working with kids, teens, and adults

Working With Children Check

Driver’s license and own transport
