Join Our Team – Casual Help Desk Support Role

We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our support team as a Casual Help Desk Support Consultant. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, has strong communication skills, and is keen to learn more about business systems and IT support.

This is a casual, flexible role, offering work-from-home arrangements with minimal disruption to your other commitments. We meet as a team once a week to stay connected, support each other, and share updates.

It's an excellent fit for a university student studying Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field, or for anyone looking to gain hands-on support experience in a real-world business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to customer support requests and log them in our support system

Acknowledge new issues within 30 minutes and follow up within 2 hours

Assist with resolving issues or gathering additional information

Schedule and install patches and system upgrades

Learn business systems through manuals, tutorials, webinars, and internal team guidance

Conduct research and update internal knowledgebases

Join weekly team meetings and assist with admin tasks like documentation and invoicing

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills and Attributes:

Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication

Calm and professional approach when working with customers

Logical thinker with good documentation habits

Self-starter who enjoys learning new tools and systems

Desirable (Nice-to-Have):

Understanding of accounting or payroll systems

Familiarity with Microsoft SQL and the ability to write queries

Experience with Crystal Reports or Power BI

An interest in programming in C# and/or Python
