As part of our continued growth, we are seeking multiple Private Tutors to join our dedicated team and provide customised, non-classroom-based learning support to students at various stages of their academic or professional development.

Available Roles

We are hiring for the following tutoring areas:

1. Private English Tutors

IELTS, PTE, Academic English, Conversation English

Workplace communication

Writing and reading support

2. Private Business Tutors

Small business management

Customer service and workplace operations

Business writing, planning, and communication

3. Private Childcare Course Tutors

Support for Certificate III & Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

Academic guidance for theory components

Language support for non-native English speakers enrolled in childcare courses

Key Responsibilities (All Roles)

Conduct one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions tailored to each learner’s language proficiency, learning style, and individual objectives;

Identify student learning needs through initial discussions or informal diagnostics and design lesson plans accordingly;

Develop and deliver customised learning content using appropriate teaching methods, tools, and resources;

Continuously monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches to maximise engagement and learning outcomes;

Offer constructive, personalised feedback to students on their development and provide strategies for improvement;

Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, learner goals, attendance, and feedback;

Assist students with academic or professional preparation tasks, such as assignments, test preparation (e.g. IELTS, PTE), and communication skills;

Collaborate with other academic staff to ensure the quality and consistency of tutoring delivery;

Participate in internal training, quality assurance, or peer-review processes as part of ongoing professional development.

Please note: each tutor will be given a detailed list of subject-specific responsibilities in their employment contract based on their tutoring area (e.g. English, Business, or Childcare).

Requirements

Essential

Relevant qualification in your tutoring area (e.g. TESOL, Business, Early Childhood Education)

Minimum 2 years of experience in private tutoring, academic support, or teaching

Ability to adapt lesson delivery to individual learner needs

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Understanding of non-classroom, learner-centred teaching practices

Desirable

Experience working with international students

Familiarity with VET sector content, RTO assessment expectations, or industry requirements

Strong digital literacy for online tutoring delivery
