About the role
This is a casual role for an experienced HSR (Health and Safety Representative) Trainer to deliver tailored health and safety training programs to employees at the Perth Training Institute in Landsdale, WA. As a DEMIRS (Designated Equivalent Management Initiated Representative System) Registered Trainer, you will provide training on a variety of workplace health and safety topics, ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills to maintain a safe working environment.
What you'll be doing
Deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs to employees, covering topics such as hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency procedures
Develop and update training materials to ensure content is current and aligned with relevant legislation and industry best practices
Facilitate interactive training sessions using a variety of delivery methods, including presentations, group discussions, and practical exercises
Assess and evaluate trainees' understanding and competency, providing feedback and support as needed
Maintain accurate training records and reports, ensuring compliance with DEMIRS requirements
Collaborate with the health and safety team to identify training needs and continuously improve the effectiveness of the training program
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years' experience as a HSR Trainer, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality training programs
DEMIRS Registered Trainer qualification or equivalent, demonstrating your expertise in workplace health and safety training
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences
Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices
Proficient in developing and adapting training materials to meet the specific needs of the organisation
Demonstrated ability to assess trainees' understanding and provide constructive feedback
Flexibility to work a casual schedule, with the willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
Our requirements
Must be a nominated and approved trainer under a DEMIRS-registered RTO.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience in WHS training or advisory roles.
Strong communication and facilitation skills.
Commitment to safety, integrity, and learner outcomes.
