We are currently seeking an Assistant Village Manager for the period from now to 10 October 2025. This is a full time position and will be required to work across two locations in the Eastern suburbs and the Sutherland Shire. We will consider part-time for the right candidate (5 hours per day, 5 days per week).
You will work closely with the Village Manager to provide a variety of services to the village to create a welcome, caring and safe community for our Independent Living residents. Your responsibility includes, but are not limited, to:
• Ensure all dealings with all stakeholders are undertaken professionally, with kindness and care to establish the villages’ reputation as being an outstanding offering in the local catchment.
• Assist the Village Manager to manage the day-to-day operations in an efficient and effective manner
• Assisting residents with social event facilitation within the village.
• Ensure that the villages maintain a high level of presentation
• Manage the maintenance tickets process within the designated timeframes.
• Follow up and check on the resolution of jobs with the organisations Property team and village residents.
• Document creation, such as agendas, minutes, memos.
• Processing meal orders and meal recharges
• Incoming and outgoing unit inspections and reports
• Village newsletters
• Circulating communication to residents
• Admissions and discharges of residents in all systems
• Participate in and maintain industry Retirement Village Accreditation and Code of Conduct compliance for the village.
• Assist in the management of existing organisations incident reporting, complaints, continuous improvement/feedback systems.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge of relevant legislation applicable to management and operation of a retirement village.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence and vehicle
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to interact with stakeholders and our residents in a respectful and empathetic manner.
• Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Intermediate to Advanced user of the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• High level of attention to detail.
• Works well independently and able to remain calm and work under pressure.
• Flexible and responsive to change.
• Results focused and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
