Samford State School Outside School Hours Care is operated by the Samford State School P&C Association. The service is currently licensed for 165 children, offering Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care. Samford OSHC is seeking Educators who are either experienced and/or qualified to join the team.

Job description: Educators must be able to effectively and actively supervise children while they play and participate in the daily program. Educators must be able to lead activities while maintaining supervision. Educators must also be able to contribute to daily cleaning tasks such as cleaning children's areas, the kitchen, and other general cleaning duties.

Tasks & responsibilities

Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the service and facilities.

Engage with children through play-based learning.

Implement the Before School, After School, and Vacation Care programs under the guidance and supervision of the OSHC Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator, Educational Leader, and responsible person.

Supervise children through participation in games & a diverse range of activities

Qualifications & experience

Holds or currently studying qualifications in child care, speech pathology, psychology, occupational therapy, nursing, the arts, education etc.

Hold a current Blue Card or willingness to immediately undertake appropriate training in her/his own expense.

Hold a First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications or Willingness to immediately undertake appropriate training in her/his own expense.
