About the Company
Our client is a reputable and growing renewable energy sub contractor delivering large-scale solar farm projects across Queenslandand Australia. With a strong project pipeline and a commitment to sustainability, they are now seeking an experienced Site Surveyor to support delivery on current and upcoming utility-scale solar farm developments.
About the Role
As the Site Surveyor, you will play a key role in the construction phase of large solar farm projects. You will be responsible for conducting accurate surveys, establishing control points, and supporting civil and electrical works with precise layout and as-built data.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Surveyor with solar farm or large-scale infrastructure experience to join a dynamic project team and contribute to the transition to clean energy. Able to expand their knowledge in all aspects of solar farm construction and become a essential part of the project delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and conduct topographical and construction layout surveys on utility-scale solar farm sites
- Evaluate survey data and compare with coordinates/designs provided by EPC client to ensure suitability of pile installation
- Establish survey control, site set-out, and coordinate with engineering and construction teams
- Use GPS, total stations, Trimble systems and other modern survey equipment for high-accuracy data collection
- Prepare and maintain survey documentation and as-built reports
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, health & safety, and environmental requirements
- reporting and communicating errors to manufacturer
- Upskill quality assurance team
- collaberate closely with engineering and quality assurance team
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Surveyor on solar farm or large infrastructure projects
- Proficient with GPS, total station, and survey software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
- Knowledge of Australian surveying standards and construction processes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work on remote project sites
- Relevant surveying qualification or tertiary degree
- Able to work on either a 10:4 or 3:1 FIFO / DIDO roster
