About the role

This is a casual position at The Javahut', a vibrant cafe located in Gawler, South Australia. As a Chefs/Barista/cafe all-rounder, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food and beverages to our customers in a fast-paced and friendly environment.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing a variety of dishes and beverages, including hot and cold items, using fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Operating the espresso machine to craft expertly brewed coffees and other specialty drinks
• Assisting with general cafe operations, such as customer service, food presentation, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace
• Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met
• Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a chef, barista or cafe all-rounder, ideally in a similar fast-paced environment
• Strong food preparation and coffee-making skills, with a keen eye for detail and presentation
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
• A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience
