Protech is currently seeking 2 experienced Field Technicians to join our client — a growing, ASX-listed gold producer and development company. Operating both established and emerging assets, our client is actively expanding their footprint at a key gold project located in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields. This position is offered on a FIFO 8:6 Roster.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• $55 - 57.50 per hour
• Temp – Perm Opportunity
• 8:6 Roster
• Day Shift Only
• ASAP Start
• 12 hours days worked/paid

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Day-to-day coreyard work at one of the three operations (whichever one needs workers most urgently) including: core jig-sawing, metre marking, orientation marking, core photography, density measurements if required, magnetic susceptibility readings if required, pXRF readings if required, core cutting or whole core sampling, QAQC inserts and sampling, geometallurgy sampling, sample despatch and paperwork, and sample transport if required.
• Collect, document, and transport rock samples from drilling activities.
• Conduct twice-weekly inspections of mine sites to ensure representative sampling and uphold material sampling standards.
• Perform ROM sampling of mobile crusher stock as required under the Haulage Agreement.
• Maintain strict compliance with the company’s QA/QC protocols at all times.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Previous Field / Pit Tech experience (DESIRABLE)
• Extensive and up-to-date experience in exploration and/or open pit mining operations
• Enthusiastic about performing a wide range of hands-on fieldwork
• Well-rounded knowledge of exploration methodologies and mining processes
• Proficient in diamond core sampling, handling, and processing
• Holder of a current C-class manual driver’s licence
• Forklift licence held (desirable)
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Highly safety-conscious with a proven commitment to safe work practices
• Effective team player, capable of working collaboratively in small crews
