About the role

On Point Fitouts is seeking a skilled Commercial Carpenter to join our team on a contract basis in our Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to the delivery of high-quality commercial fitouts and construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Undertake a range of commercial carpentry tasks, including framing, plastering, suspended ceilings, aluminium partitions, doors and windows, skirting and other finishing works

Read and interpret plans and specifications to ensure accurate and compliant work

Collaborate with the broader construction team to coordinate workflows and ensure timely project completion

Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of materials and equipment as required

Provide on-site problem-solving and troubleshooting to address any issues that arise

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Commercial Carpenter, with a strong understanding of commercial partition systems such As Criterion Platinum series

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Excellent carpentry skills, including the ability to use hand and power tools proficiently

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision

Current Construction Induction Card (White Card) and relevant trade qualifications
