The Courts Administration Authority (CAA) is seeking a strategic and experienced leader to manage the Asset Management and Facilities Branch, overseeing capital works, maintenance, infrastructure planning, and Public Private Partnership (PPP) asset delivery across the state.
About the Organisation:
The Courts Administration Authority is constituted by the Courts Administration Act 1993 (the Act). The Act established the State Courts Administration Council as an administrative authority independent of control by executive government and to confer on the Council power to provide courts with the administrative facilities and services necessary for the proper administration of justice.
Participating courts of the Authority are the Supreme Court, District Court, Environment, Resources and Development Court, Youth Court, Magistrates Court, and the Coroner's Court.
About the Asset Management and Facilities Branch:
The Asset Management and Facilities Branch delivers all aspects of strategic and operational physical asset planning and management to divisions across the state and underpins the CAA’s core business. Included under this branch's delegation is major infrastructure projects, capital and minor works programs, strategic asset planning, leased asset management, planned and corrective maintenance and asset consultancy advice.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Lead planning and delivery of capital, minor works and maintenance programs
Manage contract and project risk
Provide expert advice on infrastructure and asset strategy
Oversee PPP asset performance
Lead a high-performing, service-focused team

You bring strong experience in infrastructure or asset management, contract and risk oversight, and team leadership—ideally in a public sector or justice environment. You are solutions-focused, strategic, and committed to delivering operational excellence.

This is an ongoing opportunity.
Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act 1993. Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act 2009.
Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory.
As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
Some out-of-hours work will be required to address planned and unplanned works.
Requirements:
Appropriate tertiary qualification in the Engineering, Architectural, Planning or Business Management areas is highly desirable.
Remuneration:
MAS3 ($127,859 pa plus 12% superannuation)
