We are seeking a Crane Technician to join this dynamic team in Dysart. This role offers excellent earning potential, a structured roster (3:1 or 2:1), and the chance to work with leading crane technology.

About the Role: As a Crane Technician, you will be primarily responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and servicing of a diverse fleet of cranes, predominantly Grove, Liebherr, FRanna, Tadano, Kobelco, Manitowoc models. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our equipment, contributing directly to the efficiency of site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on cranes.

Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing, and critical repairs in adherence to manufacturer specifications and company standards.

Maintain accurate technical information and records, including creating detailed job cards for all work performed.

Manage and maintain appropriate stock levels of spare parts, oils, and consumables.

Schedule and coordinate repairs and servicing activities efficiently to minimize downtime.

Ensure all work is conducted in strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.

Collaborate effectively with site personnel and other team members.

Requirements:

Recognised Trade Qualification in Plant Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, or equivalent.

3+ years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics, transport trailers, Earthmoving equipment or similar.

Good experience with heavy vehicles maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs.

• Willing to live in Mackay or any areas around

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and a drug and alcohol screening.

• A strong understanding and adherence to WHS practices and procedures.

What is being offered:

Compensation: $50-57ph + penalties on 12h/day + superannuation

Tools allowance and DIDO allowance

Roster Flexibility: Primarily 3 weeks on, 1 week off roster with potential for 2 weeks on, 1 week off.

DIDO Option: Daily commute from Mackay and close-by areas.
