About the role

This is an exciting contract role for an experienced Shopify developer to join the digital team at Roto (Australia) Pty Ltd, an upcoming premium consumer electronics company. As an Advanced Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for optimising and enhancing the company's Shopify e-commerce platform, implementing SEO best practices, and managing online advertising campaigns to drive traffic and sales.

What you'll be doing

Design, develop, and maintain the Roto Shopify e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience

Implement advanced Shopify features, apps, and custom functionality to improve site performance, conversion, and customer experience

Optimise the website for search engine visibility, including on-page SEO, content strategy, and technical SEO

Manage and optimise paid online advertising campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, and Instagram

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing strategies

Analyse website and campaign data to identify opportunities for improvement and report on key metrics

Provide guidance and support to the wider team on Shopify and digital marketing best practices

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Shopify developer, with a proven track record of building and optimising high-performing Shopify stores

Strong understanding of Shopify's platform, apps, and APIs, including experience with custom theme development and functionality

Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development technologies

Expertise in search engine optimisation, including on-page, technical, and content optimisation

Experience managing and optimising paid digital advertising campaigns, especially on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, and Instagram

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
