The Role:
We are currently seeking experienced multi-skilled plant operators to join our team in the Tennant Creek and Alice Springs Regions for civil construction, roadworks, and maintenance activities across remote project sites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in road formation and unsealed pavement maintenance, along with proven experience operating heavy plant (specifically in grader operations) and performing site-based tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate heavy machinery, including;

Graders (140)

Rollers (PF / SD / Multi)

Excavators (36T)

Loaders (950 / 962 / 980)

Dozers (D8)

Dump Trucks

Water Trucks (semi and/or body)

Side-Tippers

Float work / Mobilisation Activites

Perform general labouring tasks such as site preparation, drainage, digging, and clean-up.

Assist with the establishment of mobile camp facilities.

Conduct basic servicing and maintenance of equipment (lubrication, cleaning, refueling, minor repairs).

Ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery.

Follow directions from Site Supervisors and adhere to safety protocols.

Work up to 7 days per week, with flexibility to travel long distances and work in remote areas.

During slower periods, support workshop operations at our Tennant Creek yard with equipment maintenance and general duties as directed.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

Valid C-Class driver license (MC/HC/HR highly desirable).

Demonstrated experience operating heavy machinery in civil construction.

Certificate III in Civil Construction or recognised plant competency tickets.

Physically fit, with willingness to perform manual tasks and work outdoors in remote conditions.

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Willingness to live on-site in camp accommodation and work rosters.

Fit-to-work medical clearance.

Certificates of Employment (COE) from previous employers verifying work experience.

Desirable:

Work Zone Traffic Management (WZ2 & WZ3) / or willingness to obtain

First Aid certification.

Mechanical aptitude or prior mechanical experience.
