TeamHEALTH is a for-purpose community mental health organisation that has been supporting people on their mental health journeys for over 35 years. Reporting to the Program Manager, People, Culture and Quality, the Quality and Innovation Officer will lead continuous quality improvement and data systems across TeamHEALTH services. This includes maintaining and reviewing policies and procedures with subject matter experts to ensure compliance, accreditation, evidence-based practice, and operational efficiency.
You will support Program Managers by developing program manuals, standard operating procedures, training materials and support tools, using technology and innovation to improve access, consistency and efficiency. You will also oversee incident, complaint and compliment processes, and provide secretariat support to the Quality and Risk Committee, contributing to stronger quality processes, professional practices and risk management across the organisation.
Key Selection Criteria:
1. A strong understanding of quality and risk management and continual service improvement, ideally in the health/mental health/social service sector.
2. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think innovatively, communicate and work collaboratively with subject matter experts, to identify and implement solutions.
3. Excellent written communication skills including the ability to develop clear policies, procedures and protocols.
4. A strong understanding of data, business-process improvement, technology and AI and how these can be leveraged to enhance productivity.
5. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision to produce clearly defined outcomes within agreed timeframes.
6. Use of analytics and reporting tools, or the ability to acquire knowledge and skills independently.

It is a requirement for this position that candidates have or are willing to obtain National Police Certificate that was issued less than two years ago, a current Driver’s Licence, NDIS Worker Screening and Orientation Module Certificate.

About TEAMhealth
The name of the incorporated Association is the Top End Association for Mental Health Incorporated, also known as TEAMhealth.
We are a not for profit organisation that has delivered wide ranging support for people dealing with mental health concerns or mental illness for almost 30 years. We provide quality mental health services, focused on support, recovery and rehabilitation across Darwin, Palmerston and the regional and remote communities of the Northern Territory’s Top End. Our purpose is to create community capacity for good mental health so that all people may lead a full and valued life.
Our organisation, was established in 1987 by a group of concerned relatives and service providers of people with mental illness who wished to provide a stable, safe accommodation option for their family members. Service commenced with the establishment of a long term, residential program known as “The Manse” at Parap. This service is still there today and is staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, providing support to people with complex needs who are not able to live independently.
TEAMhealth services grew with the acquisition of funds to provide outreach, training and family support programs to people in the Darwin area. Further housing options were also developed through our Community Housing Service and long term supported accommodation programs.
