Support Worker (Derby)
Centacare Kimberley Limited is seeking the services of a full-time Support Worker located in Derby. Your role will be to provide support to people within the community, who are referred to Centacare Kimberley.
This is an exciting role that would suit someone who is motivated to provide quality services to local people; and has the skills to deliver structured case managed support.
If you are a good communicator who can effectively engage with people and have a good level of experience in delivering social support services, we would like you to apply for this job. Applicants should have experience and/or a qualification in community services.
Centacare Kimberley is a growing organization with a strong local workforce. We offer an attractive salary, 5 weeks annual leave, an accommodation allowance, access to a range of salary sacrificing benefits, and 12% Superannuation. The hours of employment are 38 hours per week; and at times will consist of weekend work and remote travel across the Kimberley.

ESSENTIAL:
Experience in supporting people to access services that target social, emotional and physical well-being
Experience working and engaging with people from a range of language groups
Demonstrated experience in working with people who may have a complexity of needs
Experience with developing and maintaining professional networks and relationships
Effective communication and people engagement skills and the ability to develop good relationships including those with complex needs
Good computer and data entry skills
Ability to work as a team member.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
A ‘National Police Check Clearance.’ (less than 3 months old)
A current ‘Working with Children Check Clearance.’
A current Western Australian ‘C’ class motor vehicle driver’s license.
DESIRABLE:
Desirable but not necessary for the right candidate - you will be offered on the job training.
Relevant working experience and/or qualifications in one of the following fields: Community Services; Justice, Community Development or Housing
Possess a qualifications ranging from Certificate iv, Diploma or a Degree in Social Work or Community Services
