About the role

MSS Security is seeking a Control Room Operator with NV1 clearance to join a prestigious government site located in Docklands. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily control room operations, managing incident responses and monitoring security systems. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a trusted team protecting one of Melbourne's most secure locations.

The position offers a Level 4 pay rate of $28.86 per hour, plus super and shift penalties where applicable.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Monitor CCTV systems and alarms to ensure constant surveillance and early detection of any security risks.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, escalating issues as required.
• Collaborate with emergency services to coordinate responses to incidents.
• Regularly test and maintain security systems to ensure they are fully operational.
• Provide clear and concise communication.

Requirements:

• Must hold a current NV1 clearance to be considered for this role.
• Valid Victorian Security licence with control room subcategory and certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations.
• Valid Victorian Drivers licence, Working with Children Check and current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience working in security.
• Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
