VicRoads is progressing too. In August 2022, we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.
We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.
- Annual salary range: Commensurate with experience

About the opportunity
The Compliance Assurance Advisor supports the Manager, Compliance Assurance in embedding a strong assurance function across VicRoads. This role ensures the integrity and compliance of business processes through second-line oversight, risk identification, and process monitoring. Key responsibilities include preparing assurance reports, conducting investigations, analysing data for trends, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and policy obligations.
The role also involves building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional who values integrity, continuous improvement, and contributing to a transparent, accountable, and high-performing organisation.
About you
With 2-4 years' experience in compliance, legal, or risk environments, you excel at ensuring processes meet regulatory and organisational standards. You have a keen eye for detail and a strong analytical mindset that helps identify risks and drive improvements. Skilled at building relationships, you communicate clearly and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Your integrity and commitment to ethical practices guide your work, helping to foster a culture of accountability and transparency across the organisation.
- Experience delivering compliance oversight and assurance activities
- Ability to interpret and apply quality and regulatory frameworks
- Strong data analysis skills to inform decision-making
- Demonstrated experience conducting investigations and remediation
- Committed to upholding privacy, ethical standards, and fraud prevention
