North-Eastern Montessori School is a vibrant and progressive School offering a Montessori based curriculum for children from Early Learning and Foundation – Year 6. North-Eastern Montessori School is proud to announce the introduction of our Middle Years Program in 2026, commencing with our first cohort of Year 7 students.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to support our 6-9Years (Cycle 2) program on a part-time basis.

About the Role:

Working under the guidance of a Montessori-trained Teacher, the Classroom Assistant helps create a purposeful and calm learning environment. The role involves supporting students in their academic, social, and emotional development, while fostering independence and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Support individual and group learning experiences for children aged 6–9

Assist with the preparation and care of classroom materials and the environment

Supervise children during lessons, outdoor play, and daily transitions

Promote respectful interactions and support children’s social and emotional development

Uphold and model the values of the Montessori approach

About You:

Certificate III in Education Support or higher qualification (essential)

Montessori qualification or experience (highly regarded)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A commitment to supporting children’s wellbeing, learning and development

Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

Commitment to Child Safe Standards and all relevant school policies

Salary:
Salary will be commensurate with experience and offered on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the North-Eastern Montessori School Enterprise Agreement.
