We want people who are great as individuals, and even better in a team. As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will be responsible for providing timely, practical advice and strategies to leaders on a range of employee relations matters including performance, conduct, grievances, and complaints.
In this role you will support investigations and ensures matters are managed in line with legislative, industrial, and organisational requirements and you will contribute to building ER capability and promoting a constructive, resolution-focused culture across the organisation.
Please note, this is a part time, permanent opportunity, working 22.8 hours per week. We are flexible for those who would like to work shorter hours, 5 days per week, or 3 full days.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:
Manage employee relations matters including performance concerns, conduct issues, grievances and complaints, ensuring alignment with policies, procedures and industrial instruments.
Undertake workplace investigations as required, including gathering and analysing evidence, preparing documentation, and making recommendations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case documentation and ensure appropriate confidentiality and compliance standards are upheld and ensure cases are undertaken using trauma informed case management principles.
Provide timely, accurate and practical advice to leaders and P&C colleagues on ER issues, including interpretation of awards, agreements and policy, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and organisational values.
What makes a difference for us?
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law or a related field, with previous experience in a similar role providing ER and HR advice to employees or leaders.
Previous experience in a similar role providing ER and HR advice to employees or leaders
Demonstrated knowledge of employment related legislation, and experience applying and enforcing legislative requirements and resulting organisational obligations.
Demonstrated experience leading workplace investigations end-to-end, with experience in supporting informal investigations, including coaching leaders and HR staff Experience interpreting enterprise agreements, HR policies and legislation and providing advice to employees and leaders.
