As a Child and Family Practitioner in our Connecting Families stream, you’ll work closely with parents, children, and community partners to deliver early intervention, parenting education, and tailored support. Based in Geelong, this role is ideal for someone who is passionate about connecting families and creating positive change through evidence-informed practice.
About the Role
As a Child and Family Practitioner – Connecting Families, you will:
- Deliver early intervention and parenting education through group programs and one-on-one support
- Provide assertive outreach and place-based responses in schools and community settings
- Conduct risk assessments, develop action plans, and coordinate services for families with complex needs
- Build strong partnerships with community organisations, schools, and support services to enhance outcomes for families
Position Details
- Full-time, Ongoing position
- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $101,032 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare Studies, Behavioural or Health Sciences, Early Childhood, Education or related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of managing complex cases with strong case practice including client advocacy, therapeutic interventions and family support in line with evidence informed frameworks.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk and needs assessments
- Demonstrated knowledge of the factors that can impact on a parent’s ability to care for children and knowledge of the service system and resources available that can support parents, children and young people
- Experience in the facilitation and delivery of evidence-based parenting programs.
- Demonstrated experience in parenting coaching to assist parents to build their parenting confidence, skill and capacity in order to assist children to thrive.
