C6 Telehandler Operator in Yatala

We are seeking an experienced C6 Telehandler Operator with a High Risk Work Licence to join our construction team. The successful candidate will operate a Pegasus telehandler (5 tonne capacity - to be confirmed but this may change) in a safety-conscious environment while performing various material handling and lifting operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Primary Telehandler Operations

• Operate C6 telehandler safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and site safety protocols
• Move construction materials including steel, concrete products, timber, and building supplies to designated locations
• Lift and position pallets of materials at various heights and locations across the construction site
• Handle skip bins for waste management and material disposal moving material with telehandler
• Load and unload delivery trucks using telehandler attachments
• Position materials for trades including bricklayers, carpenters, and steel fixers
• Conduct pre-start inspections and daily maintenance checks on the Pegasus telehandler
• Maintain accurate logbooks and equipment records

Site Support Activities

• Assist with general construction activities when not operating machinery
• Support site cleanup and organization of materials storage areas
• Collaborate with site supervisors and trades to ensure efficient workflow
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Report any equipment issues, safety hazards, or maintenance requirements immediately
• Ensure compliance with all site-specific safety procedures and work method statements

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow all environmental management procedures
• Assist with emergency response procedures when required
• Mentor junior operators and provide guidance on safe operating practices

Tickets & Qualifications

• C6 Telehandler High Risk Work Licence (Essential)
• Telehandler Ticket - Current certification required
• White Card

Essential Requirements

• White Card (Construction Induction) - Current and valid
• Full PPE - Hard hat, safety boots, hi-vis clothing, safety glasses
• Minimum 12 months construction site experience - Demonstrated on-site experience
• Own reliable transport - Highly desirable for consistent attendance
• Physical fitness - Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Clean driving record - Professional driving standards expected
