Ramcorp are a privately owned civil construction and underground mining company supplying various related equipment and labour services throughout the country.

On behalf of our valued client, we are currently seeking suitably experienced applications to fill the role of Charge Up Operator. This position is on a 7 and 7 rotating roster, between dayshift and nightshift. Located in Ballarat and working 12 hour shifts.

The role involves charge up activities in both underground mining development and production environments. Including the safe preparation, handling and detonation of explosives in accordance with site procedures and legislative requirements.

About the role:

· Handling of explosives, storage and transportation underground

· Achieve production targets through the safe and efficient application of explosive blasting delivering

· Accurately complete charge up records and reports

· Strictly adhere to safety, environmental and operational procedures and regulations

· Engaging in problem solving

· Working closely with other underground mining employees

About you:

· Current Victorian Shot firing / Black ticket

· Hold a Dangerous Goods Security Clearance

· Hold a Victorian Working at Heights Certification

· Previous experience in an underground charge up role

· High level of safety focus and compliance with all safety policies and procedures

With above award hourly rates of between $70.00 - $80.00 p/h, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with an industry leader in the Gold Mining sector.
