About the client
The business is the Australian arm of a $1 billion global manufacturer delivering components and solutions to the power and energy markets. As a result of growth they are looking for a new Project Engineer to lead end to end delivery projects from the factory in Blacktown.
About the role
The Project Engineer will lead the end-to-end delivery of engineering and manufacturing projects . You’ll work hands-on with internal manufacturing teams, global
suppliers, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to technical standards. With a grasp of production processes you will thrive in a dynamic environment and cover:
Project Planning & Execution
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and production timelines for the facility
• Define scope and deliverables specific to line hardware fittings
Manufacturing & Expediting
• Collaborate daily with manufacturing teams to track progress and resolve
bottlenecks and expedite orders to meet delivery deadlines
• Monitor materials, lead times, and fabrication milestones
Stakeholder Coordination
• Serve as the primary liaison between design, production, procurement, and the
client; Providing proactive updates to customers regarding order status, technical issues,
and delivery timelines
Quality & Compliance
• Ensure all outputs meet relevant standards (e.g. AS1154, AS/NZS ISO) whilst addressing non-conformances and rework issues promptly
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of schedules, manufacturing progress, change
requests, and risk logs whilst providing regular progress reports and updates to management and external
stakeholders.
About you
You are a proven Project Engineer with Strong experience in project management within a manufacturing environment. You hold a deep understanding of manufacturing processes including casting, forging, galvanizing, and mechanical assembly.
You have Proven ability to expedite production orders and navigate factory floor constraints, strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with shop floor
staff, suppliers, engineers, and clients.
You hold Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, MS Project, and Excel for scheduling and tracking, Familiarity with relevant industry and safety standards (ISO 9001) and ideally have a Qualification in an Engineering, Manufacturing, or Project Management field
