THE ROLE

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding client experiences, working closely with Client Service Managers and cross-functional teams to achieve exceptional results. You will thrive on problem-solving, bringing strategic insights and practical solutions to complex challenges while managing high-quality, profitable projects.

DUTIES

• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns across a broad range of entities, including companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and consistent, high-quality service delivery.
• Deliver tailored business and taxation advice to help clients achieve their strategic goals.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, offering technical guidance and ongoing support.
• Oversee tax compliance obligations, including BAS, IAS, GST, FBT, and Division 7A requirements.
• Support audit processes by assisting with client audits and responding to audit-related queries.
• Stay current with evolving tax legislation and emerging industry developments to ensure up-to-date client service.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Over 7 years of experience in a public practice accounting environment.
• CA or CPA qualified (or currently completing certification).
• In-depth understanding of Australian tax law and accounting standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to effectively manage clients.
• Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio and meeting deadlines under pressure.
• Proficient in accounting software, including Xero, MYOB, and comparable platforms.
• Highly motivated team player with a proactive mindset and commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.
