Produce Order Picker - Early Morning Shift

Produce picker packer at the Rocklea markets.

Casual involving early starts in cool rooms. 2:00am - 10:00am.

Good attitude to fit in with a close knit team.

Skills Required:

Attention to Detail: Essential for accurately selecting items and verifying orders.

Physical Stamina: Order pickers may be on their feet for extended periods and may need to lift or carry items.

Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.

Communication: Clear communication with team members and supervisors.

Basic Math Skills: For inventory counting and order verification.

Ability to follow instructions: To ensure tasks are completed accurately and safely.

Teamwork: Many order picking roles require collaboration within a team.

Familiarity with Warehouse Operations: Understanding of warehouse procedures and safety regulations.

Prior experience is preferable but not essential as all role specific training will be provided to the successful applicants on site.

A few notes:

the work environment is cold, the warehouse is refrigerated to +2°c. You will be provided cold room jackets and PPE but the role does require be in and out of those temperatures for a good amount of time each day.

its early starts - hours of operation range from midnight to 10am, most picking shifts commencing at 2am.

weekend shifts are available - we also trade on Sunday mornings so there are shifts available at full penalty rates
