On this occasion, we have partnered with a key Building and Construction-centric Agency which is based in central Brisbane. The role we are offering to the market today is that of Principal Investigator, with a key focus on Governance, Risk and Ethics. From an initial 2 month contract, we can see this role extending on well into 2025 and beyond. As an A07, you will also be very well compensated for being the successful candidate.
Responsibilities within this role will include:
- Investigating methodologies to conduct timely and reliable investigations in relation to complex and sensitive allegation of corrupt conduct as defined by the Crime and Corruption Act 2001
- Investigation of allegations of staff misconduct that fall within the scope of the Public Service Commissions (PSC) Conduct and Performance Excellence (CaPE) framework
- Effectively managing public interest disclosures submitted under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 in accordance with legislation, standards and departmental policies and procedures.
- Recommending improvements to Commission policies, procedures and/or administrative practices, and where appropriate, assist in the implementation of these recommendations.
With the above duties in mind, a background in a Senior Legal or Senior HR/ER Auditing role will be highly thought of, as well as previous experience working within the Crime and Corruption Act and Public Interest Disclosure Act, ideally in the public sector in Queensland (or parallel experience in a different state in Australia).
