Electronics Technician

Our client is a global leader in technical and technological solutions for heavy industry, with offices and distribution networks around the world, and a history of world-first innovations.

They seek an experienced Trade Electronics Technician to join the Caboolture Workshop, focused on performing Servicing, Manufacturing, Design and testing functions on the range of IS electronics and electrical equipment. Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, the ideal candidate has proven capabilities, and the desire to learn, improve and share knowledge with the tight-knit team.

Key Responsibilities include:

Assembly, Manufacturing & Testing, plus Inspection, Maintenance & Repair of electronic equipment and products.

Build, test, certify, troubleshoot and overhaul Intrinsically Safe electronics and electrical equipment.

Contribute to product development, building and testing prototypes.

Review and enhance Quality and Technical documentation on processes and products.

Key Skills Sought:

· Electrical/Electronic Trade Qualification, with relevant industry experience held in high regard, such as mining or communications.

· Understanding of Electrical standards, with ideally exposure to AS3800/MP87.2 standards

· Excellent knowledge of electronics and assembly, with good soldering skills.

· Good with hands-on work and safe use of tools.

· Sound computer skills plus solid written & verbal communication ability

· A commitment to safe work methods and job safety.

· Able to work independently and with a team, without direct supervision.
