Netbay Internet Pty Ltd is currently seeking a technically proficient and solution-driven Developer Programmer to support the development, integration, and maintenance of our digital service platforms across commercial and residential communication networks. We have delivered business-grade NBN services, building-level fibre networks (FTTB), domain and website hosting, and tailored IT solutions for hospitality and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the development and ongoing improvement of company-owned client service platforms, internal management systems, and web applications to ensure they are functional, stable, and user-friendly.

Design, implement and maintain system modules that support service subscription, customer account management, usage monitoring, and other key backend functionalities.

Develop and support tools used for managing our web hosting services, including client website setup systems, admin dashboards, and control panel features.

Translate business requirements into practical system solutions by planning workflows, developing functions, and refining user interaction logic.

Investigate and troubleshoot system bugs or service issues as reported by internal teams or external users and implement permanent solutions in a timely manner.

Maintain technical documentation including system user guides, development notes, operational manuals, and version tracking for future reference.

Contribute to the design and enhancement of internal tools such as job ticketing systems, reporting interfaces, and customer service dashboards.

Complete programming tasks according to project timelines, including requirements analysis, system development, testing, deployment, and version updates.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams—including front-end designers, telecommunications/network engineers, and support staff—to ensure system compatibility and performance.

Conduct regular code reviews, suggest improvements, and follow structured development and testing procedures to maintain software quality.

Optimise the performance and responsiveness of company systems by simplifying processes, refining data handling, and reducing system load where possible.

Support the integration of third-party services (e.g. payment platforms, domain registrars, or CRM tools) into company systems through interface development or API connection.

Help maintain multilingual accessibility across customer-facing systems by supporting content display, encoding compatibility, and user flow logic.

Stay informed about new development tools or frameworks that may benefit system stability, security, or user experience, and propose upgrades as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

At least 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in platform-based service environments.

Experience with distributed systems, microservices, or data pipelines is highly desirable.

Solid knowledge of Linux server environments, database, and web server stacks

Familiarity with network-related services and their integration into customer platforms.

Understanding of DevOps tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring/logging systems).

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
