Is This You? – The Educator We’re Looking For
To qualify, you will need relevant Design teaching qualifications and registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. You may be an experienced teacher or a recent graduate ready to bring energy and innovation to the classroom.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Ability to teach Design (General Syllabus) rather than traditional trades (e.g., Industrial Tech)
Experience with technologies like 3D printing, laser cutting, or design software
Capacity to teach a second subject (e.g., Art, Media, or other areas), if needed
Strong understanding of trauma-informed teaching or experience with students from low SES backgrounds
As our ideal candidate, you will be:
A reflective, non-authoritarian educator who leads with empathy and relationship-building
Culturally sensitive and open to learning about Indigenous perspectives
Comfortable working within a Christian worldview and lifestyle model
A team player who thrives in a collaborative and supportive school culture
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Design educator to teach in a school that values impact over prestige and offers real opportunity to shape the future of young lives.
