About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Leading Hand/Project Manager to join the team at Newcastle Fencing & Excavations. As a leading provider of fencing and excavation services, we are seeking an exceptional candidate to oversee our construction projects and lead our on-site teams. This is a full-time permanent role.

What you'll be doing

Manage and oversee all activities on designated construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

Lead, mentor and motivate site teams, delegating tasks and providing guidance to ensure effective and efficient project delivery

Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or risks in a timely manner

Collaborate with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our construction processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Leading Hand or Project Manager in the construction industry, ideally within the fencing sector.

Strong organisational, problem-solving and multitasking skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams

Thorough understanding of all types of fencing methods, materials and safety regulations

Proficient in the use of project management software and other relevant technology

Relevant qualifications in construction, project management or a related field would be highly regarded

Willingness and ability to travel as required for the role

Successful completion of a pre-employment medical assessment, including urine drug screening, may be required.
