About the Role:
As a Contracts Administrator, you’ll work closely with the Project Manager and site team to ensure the commercial success of residential apartment projects. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end contract administration, with a focus on procurement, cost control, and ensuring all financial and contractual obligations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Subcontractor Management: Prepare tender packages, run tender evaluations, negotiate subcontract agreements, and manage subcontractor relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Cost Control & Financial Reporting: Track project costs, manage budgets, forecast expenditure, and provide regular cost reports to senior management.
Variations & Claims: Assess and process subcontractor variations, progress claims, and EOTs in line with contract terms and project milestones.
Contract Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all documentation and contracts are compliant with company procedures and industry standards. Proactively manage risk through accurate and timely administration.
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery and timely issue resolution.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Contracts Administrator within residential construction
Proven experience working on apartment projects $20M+ (high-rise or mid-rise)
Sound knowledge of Australian Standard contracts (AS2124, AS4000, etc.)
Strong procurement, negotiation, and contract management skills
High attention to detail and well-developed cost tracking/forecasting capabilities
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or related field preferred
